LIFE or ART
UR > Marimba musicians heard and seen at a bus stop.
UL > Marimba musicians seen but not heard through the windows of a bus.
LL > Roots of a Kapok tree in Torugeuro created to reflect life.
I was really impressed by the creative, artistic aspects of recycling.
The very tall art "vidrio" glass bottle recycling vessel is in Tortuguero. Opening in near top.
I love the colorful benches surrounding it.
UR is a restaurant patio.
North Americans can learn recycling beauty from Central Americans!
I love eating fresh PIPAS - coconuts!
The milk and baby meat are sooo delicious! I shared them.
If the hole is small and I don't have a spoon, I eat the meat with a straw!
Cart words:
"Coconut Water $1. Pipas - Dulces del Caribe"
"Patrocinador de Nery Brenes!!"
I love sitting on purple benches and seeing purple buildings.
Tortuguero black building exterior mural (with animals) and words adjacent to the school house:
"Para Que En Un Futuro No Veamos Solo Siluetas".
"To Let In A Future Not Only Here Silhouettes"
Tortuguero, Costa Rica
School children inside and outside their classroom.
Shops and private homes.
Tortuguero is where I bought the only present for myself, a pink tie-dye butterfly t-shirt.
Public park furniture in Tortuguero by the river is colorfully painted.
Sculptures are local frogs.
Old metal machinery become public garden sculptures.
There are no cars, buses, nor trucks in Tortuguero.
Everything for homes and 14 hotels are shipped by boat in the river.
